MHP0701
This pipe is remarkable in several respects: it is the first time I have ever made a classic Dublin shape, the first time I have ever made a pipe "to spec" (using a photo & dimensions of a pipe to copy), & the first time that I have ever used a contrast stain. Its owner is from Scotland - but he lives in Canada. Weird, eh?
MHP0702
This pipe is more or less a classic Pot shape, albeit with a diamond rather than a round shank & a bowl whose lip is rounded inward. It represents my second foray into the world of contrast stains, the quality of which continue to impress me. This pipe has some clean lines that I really dig, & was made as a birthday gift.
MHP0703
This pipe is a classic billiard shape with some outstanding grain. Like MHP0701, this is a "to spec" pipe. A few flaws (filled to the best of my ability) mar what would otherwise be an impeccable surface. Nevertheless, this is one of my favourite pipes out of all the ones which I have made. It's new home is in North Carolina.
